E-Plus Germany Mobile Data Impact Analysis Report
Rewheel, Dec 2010, Pages: 41
An independent external analysis putting the German E-Plus mobile operator’s new spectrum positions (900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2100 MHz and 2600 MHz as well as lack of 800 MHz/digital dividend) and low cost vendor strategy (ZTE) to the test.
The analysis is based on Rewheel’s bottom up data centric mobile data business model and impact analysis framework. The analysis explores the economic viability of volume capped, speed-tiered and device tiered mobile data pricing. The analysis shows a useful case example for challenger mobile operators in developed telecom markets. It is a useful resource for mobile operator strategists, mobile operator investors, telecom gear vendor strategists as well as telecoms regulators and policy makers.
The report is an exceptionally useful resource for operators preparing for upcoming spectrum auctions (2.6 GHz, digital divident) and working on the economic valuation of various spectrum holdings.
