This research report presents Taiwanese digital terrestrial STB shipment volume and value forecast and recent quarter review of shipment volume, value and ASP, manufacturer volume ranking, and shipment by maker. The report also provides shipment by function and examines price trends, production locations, shipment destinations, business types, and customer portfolios. The content of this report is based on primary data obtained through interviews with digital terrestrial STB makers. The report finds that the Taiwanese digital terrestrial STB industry' shipment volume and value suffered from significant year-on-year and sequential declines in the second half of 2010, mainly due to lackluster demand following the completion of the digital switchover in the United States. Furthermore, it is anticipated that the industry's sequential declines in shipment volume and value in the second half of 2010 will continue into the first quarter of 2011 albeit at a much slower pace.
