First German Electric Vehicle Congress (German Version)
nova-Institut GmbH, Aug 2009
The electric vehicle (EV) is worldwide reinventing the automobile. The electrical mobility is much more than a new drive technology.
The automotive companies are competing towards the best concepts, who will be the first to start a large-scale production and bring them on the market?
The suppliers are working meticulously to present the car companies perfect solutions for all aspects of their new EVs, including battery technologies, new electrical engines, air conditioning systems or electronic controls.
The energy provider companies are working on concepts to load the vehicles and are looking forward to the power storages of the EV in order to optimise load management of their power networks.
And last but not least many scientists and engineers are working on innovative EVs as well as numerous detail solutions.
Due to the perfect combination of innovation and ecology the EV can be a loophole for the automotive industry especially during the current crisis. The EV has a lower CO2-emission than any other Otto- or Diesel- vehicle even with the present power mix. This is why many politicians and environmental activists show great interest in the EV.
Currently billions are invested worldwide in the EV and all major automobile manufacturers are overbidding each other with news about large-scale productions. This would be the fastest technological revolution which has ever been recorded in technological history. An efficient collaboration of all stakeholders is the only way to accomplish this task.
The goal of the Electric Vehicle Congress is to bring together and network all actors in the new field of electric vehicles of all major companies, small and medium-sized businesses as well as the sciences, engineering and politics. This way the congress aims at becoming the main venue for electric mobility.
