A new insight into the International Express industry

In January 2011, Ti undertook an extensive electronic ‘usage and perception' survey examining the state of the global international express segment. Senior industry executives from both Shippers and Express carrier segments took part in the survey.

All the major regions were represented providing a Global, European, Middle Eastern, North American and Asian perspective. Executives were asked to share their perspective on market growth and prospects as well as the performance of their suppliers.

In total, 526 individuals participated in this survey, 390 from the demand side (including manufacturers, retailers, logistics companies, banks, the public sector, etc.) and 136 from the express industry itself.

Why should you buy Ti's International Express Parcels Survey 2011?

The findings of the survey provide an insight into the performance of the leading international express operators, as rated by their Customers.

The results are essential for shippers looking for independent data to support their decision making process when contracting an express carrier. For other carriers, the results provide a way of benchmarking their own performance against their customers' expectations, as well as their competitors.

The survey compares the level of importance placed on 11 key service attributes by shippers (such as security, reliability, customs clearance capabilities) with the performance of the industry as a whole, and the ‘Big 4' carriers individually (i.e. UPS, FedEx, DHL and TNT).

It also includes insight from 134 executives of express companies. Find out:

- Geographies in which they experienced Greater than Average Growth
- Most Popular Geographical Markets for Expansion in the Past Year
- Which markets their companies were expanding into
- Which vertical sectors they believed represented the greatest opportunities

The survey answers questions such as:

- Which company offers the best dedicated customer services?
- Who offers the best prices, and which most reliability?
- Who has the strongest brand globally; in North America; Asia Pacific and Europe?
- How have express parcel rates changed over the past year?
- How are express parcel rates expected to change in the coming year?
- What are the most frequently used Time Sensitive Options and how is this expected to change in the coming year?
- What are the key reasons for not using one of the ‘Big 4' operators?
- Which value added services are the most commonly used?

Who should buy International Express Parcels Survey 2011?

The survey is ideal for parcels shippers wanting to find out how the major express companies are rated in the industry against a range of metrics.

It is also essential reading for express carriers who need to know the most important service attributes for future investment.

The results provide analysts and researchers from consultancies and banks with unparalleled insight into the sector and its immediate future prospects.
