Ethnicity and Healthcare Practice a Guide for the Primary Care Team
Quay books, Nov 2009, Pages: 134
This book aims to provide a short overview of key issues in understanding the relationship between ethnicity and health, and to provide some practical suggestions and resources for primary healthcare providers in particular to consider when working with minority ethnic communities. Our aim is to shed some light onto the thorny issue of how ethnicity can be addressed within community healthcare practice. Each chapter of the book includes a brief overview of a topic, examples of good practice/resources, a list of key points and suggestions for further reading.

Review 'It is very readable, and I am sure most readers will find themselves stopping and reflecting on the many snippets of information that challenge their thinking and assumptions, that simply provide a perspective that they simply hadn't quite thought about before'. Richard Bryant-Jefferies, Head of Equalities and Diversity, Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust.
