The stable state of the Norwegian economy influenced consumer credit positively in 2011. Greater acceptance of credit was seen, as consumer confidence in the future of the Norwegian economy grew in line with positive economic developments. According to data from SSB, which is the national statistic bureau, the level of savings activity was not as high in 2011 as it was in the years immediately following the onset of the global financial crisis.
