Abstract
LONDON (Standard & Poor's CreditWire) Sept. 12, 2000--Standard & Poor's today assigned its single-'A'-plus long-term counterparty and certificate of deposit credit ratings to Unibank A/S, and raised its long-term counterparty and certificate of deposit credit ratings on Merita Bank PLC and Nordbanken AB to single-'A'-plus. At the same time, the ratings on Merita Bank PLC and Nordbanken AB were removed from CreditWatch, where they were placed with positive implications following the announcement, on March 6, 2000, of the proposed merger between the MeritaNordbanken group and the Unidanmark group. Standard & Poor's also affirmed its A-1 short-term ratings on Merita Bank PLC, Nordbanken AB, and Unibank A/S and their related entities. The outlook is stable. See list below for all rating...
