Preliminary Ratings Assigned in Bankinter's Latest Spanish RMBS Transaction Feb 04

LONDON (Standard & Poor's) Feb. 20, 2004--Standard & Poor's Ratings Services said today that it assigned its preliminary credit ratings to the €1.07 billion mortgage-backed floating-rate notes to be issued by Bankinter 8 Fondo de Titulización de Activos (see list below). The collateral securing the notes will consist of a pool of mortgage participations issued by Bankinter S.A. Each participation will be backed by an individual first mortgage loan, which is fully amortizing and secured by a residential, owner-occupied property in Spain. An interest rate swap agreement between the fund manager in this transaction, Europea de Titulización S.A., Sociedad Gestora de Fondos de Titulización, and Bankinter will convert the interest payments at the index payable on the mortgage participations into...
