Standard & Poor's Ratings Services has affirmed its 'A-' issuer credit rating on Seminole Electric Cooperative Inc. (Seminole or SECI), Fla. Standard & Poor's also affirmed its rating on Seminole's series A, B and C notes, and the rating on Putnam County Development Authority, Fla.'s pollution control revenue refunding bonds (Seminole Electric Cooperative Inc. project). The outlook is stable. The affirmation reflects the Rural Utility Service's (RUS) approval of Seminole's new indenture, and our expectation that Seminole's board will adopt the indenture in December 2009. Standard & Poor's has reviewed a near-final draft of the indenture and believes that, it will not have an adverse impact on the rating if adopted.
