NEW YORK (Standard & Poor's CreditWire) May 27, 1999--Standard & Poor's today affirmed its financial strength and counterparty credit ratings on Capital Reinsurance Co. as well as its three financial risk operations -- KRE Reinsurance Ltd., Capital Mortgage Reinsurance Co., and Capital Title Reinsurance Co. The three financial risk operations on a consolidated basis form the KRE Group. Standard & Poor's also placed its ratings on Capital Re Corp. and Capital Re LLC (Turks & Caicos), whose debt is fully guaranteed by Capital Re Corp., on CreditWatch negative implications. At the same time, Standard & Poor's affirmed its financial strength and counterparty credit ratings of ACE Ltd.'s subsidiaries (see list for all rating actions).
