Abertis, Autostrade, HIT, Sanef 'A/A-1' Affirmed As Merger Cancelled; Off Watch; Outlook Neg Dec 06

Abstract MADRID (Standard & Poor's) Dec. 15, 2006--Standard & Poor's Ratings Services said today that, following the announcement by toll road operators Abertis Infraestructuras S.A. of Spain and Autostrade SpA of Italy that they have called off their merger, it has affirmed its 'A' long-term corporate credit ratings on both companies, as well as on French toll-road operator Sanef, and Sanef's holding company Holding d'Infrastructures de Transport S.A.S. At the same time, the 'A-1' short-term corporate credit ratings on Autostrade and Sanef were also affirmed. All ratings were removed from CreditWatch, where they had been placed with negative implications on April 24, 2006.
