We are revising the outlook on Houston-based CenterPoint Energy Inc. and its operating subsidiaries, CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric LLC and CenterPoint Energy Resources Corp., to positive from stable. We are also affirming the corporate credit rating at 'BBB' for these entities. The rating action accounts for improvements in CenterPoint's business and financial risk profiles that may support a higher rating. The rating action also incorporates our expectation that CenterPoint will prudently utilize the proceeds from a recent court decision that are expected to total about $922 million plus accrued interest. On April 28, 2011, Standard & Poor's Ratings Services revised the outlook on CenterPoint and its two operating subsidiaries, CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric LLC (CEHE) and CenterPoint Energy Resources Corp....
