Abstract
Standard & Poor's Ratings Services assigned its 'AA' long-term rating to Oklahoma County Independent District No. 89 (Oklahoma City), Okla.'s series 2010 general obligation (GO) equipment bonds. At the same time, Standard & Poor's affirmed its 'AA' long-term and underlying rating (SPUR) on the district's existing debt. The rating, in our view, continues to reflect the district's: Inclusion in the diverse and expanding Oklahoma City's regional economy and labor markets; Continued economic expansion, supporting healthy tax base growth; Historically good financial performance; and Low overall debt burden, coupled with rapid principal amortization.
