Issuer Ranking: U.S. Building Materials, Strongest To Weakest Apr 07

Standard & Poors, April 2007

Abstract
Standard & Poor's Ratings Services expects the outlook for credit quality is stable to slightly weaker, with little room for any credit upgrades. Most of the 42 rated companies in this sector have stable outlooks and should retain them. But because these companies are involved a wide array of markets and products the effects of the housing downturn will not be uniform. The following list ranks all the rated companies in this industry from strongest to weakest based on rating and outlook. Companies with the same rating and outlook are further ranked by our opinion of credit quality based primarily on business risks for investment-grade companies and primarily on financial risks for speculative-grade companies. Ratings are displayed as long-term rating/outlook...
