Abstract
Standard & Poor's Ratings Services revised its outlook to stable from negative on SSM Health Care System (SSMHC), Mo.'s outstanding bonds issued by: Illinois Finance Authority, Missouri Health Care System, Missouri Health And Educational Facilities Authority, Oklahoma City Industrial And Cultural Facility Trust, and the Wisconsin Health And Education Facility Authority. At the same time, Standard & Poor's affirmed its 'AA-' long-term and underlying rating (SPUR) on SSMHC's existing debt. The stable outlook reflects our opinion of the considerable improvement in SSMHC's operating performance in its 2009 fiscal year. SSMHC's balance sheet strength, which had declined significantly during the recent turmoil in the capital markets, has rebounded to an acceptable level, and capital spending continues to be scaled back due...
