Abstract
ITV PLC was among the latest companies of the S&P Europe 350 Index's consumer discretionary sector to announce its semi-annual and full-year 2010 earnings results. On March 2, 2011, the London-based broadcaster reported strong second-half 2010 earnings of £0.038 per share, which is 280% higher compared with earnings per share of £0.01 for the same period last year. For the full-year 2010, adjusted earnings rose 255% to £0.064, compared with full-year 2009 earnings of £0.018. This result is much stronger than what the European media subsector is on track to post.
