Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria, Chile y Filiales Rated 'A-/A-2'; Outlook Stable May 11

Abstract BBVA Chile is the sixth-largest bank in Chile, with 7.3% of the banking system's total loans. We are assigning our 'A-/A-2' rating to Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria Chile. We expect the bank to maintain its healthy asset quality and good market position in the Chilean financial system. BUENOS AIRES (Standard & Poor's) May 2, 2011--Standard & Poor's Ratings Services said today that it assigned its 'A-/A-2' counterparty credit rating to Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria Chile y Filiales (BBVA Chile).
