Abstract The ratings on Caisse des D-p-ts et Consignations (CDC) are based on the institution's unique legal status and its important role in supporting French public policy. They are further reinforced by CDC's sound financial position, characterized by a low-risk profile, good liquidity, adequate profitability, and excellent capitalization. Created in 1816, CDC is a public institution that conducts both public-service and competitive activities.
