Abstract NEW YORK (Standard & Poor's) Aug. 15, 2001--Standard & Poor's today affirmed its 'A-1'-plus rating on Barton Capital Corporation's (Barton) commercial paper notes. The rating action follows Barton's purchase of a variable funding note of up to $500 million to finance auto loan and lease receivables. The rating on Barton's commercial paper program is based on liquidity support from liquidity providers with short-term ratings commensurate with Barton's 'A-1'-plus rating, sufficient pool-specific credit enhancement, and proper interest rate coverage.
