Abstract
Royal Bank of Canada continues to experience consistent and strong core operating performance from domestic operations. We are revising the outlook to positive from stable based on expectations that the bank will continue to outperform most of its domestic peers and affirming our 'AA-/A-1+' counterparty credit ratings on Royal Bank and related entities. We expect 2010 earnings to possibly surpass the strong 2009 level. On May 25, 2010, Standard & Poor's Ratings Services revised its outlook on Royal Bank of Canada to positive from stable on expectations that the bank will continue to outperform most of its domestic peers.
