Abstract
Below are the results of the third phase of Standard & Poor's global transparency and disclosure standards survey, which covers the S&P/TOPIX 150 Index constituents. These highly liquid securities are selected from each major sector and represent about 70% of the total value of the Japanese equity market. The survey analyzes disclosure primarily from an international investor's perspective and measures the inclusion of 98 items relating to: Ownership structure and investor relations; Financial transparency and information disclosure; and Board and management structure and processes.
