On March 28, 2006, Standard & Poor's Ratings Services raised its long-term corporate credit rating on Mexico-based Coca-Cola FEMSA S.A. de C.V. (KOF) to 'BBB+' from 'BBB' and removed it from CreditWatch Positive where it was placed on March 22, 2006. Standard & Poor's also raised the long-term national scale corporate credit rating assigned to KOF to 'mxAAA' from 'mxAA+'. The outlook is stable. The rating action reflects KOF's strong business fundamentals, as well as the company's positive deleveraging three years after acquiring Panamerican Beverages Inc.
