Chesapeake Energy Corporation (Chesapeake) entered into an agreement to acquire all of the outstanding shares of Bronco Drilling Company, Inc. (Bronco), a contract land drilling service provider to the oil and gas industry, for a purchase consideration of $315m, including debt, net working capital and outstanding warrants.
The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2011, subject to customary closing conditions.
