BMC Software Invests in Remedy Usability

BMC Software (BMC) has announced two BMC Remedy ITSM releases over the past six months to address usability in its product offering - version 7.6 in September, 2010 and now version 7.6.04 in January, 2011. BMC Remedy is a comprehensive ITSM suite solution used by enterprises and mid-size companies around the world. It is known for its flexibility and has a long-standing history as one of the leaders in the ITSM solution space. Usability has been a concern expressed by BMC users. Clearly, BMC has been listening and has moved ahead to address a number of critical use-case issues in the combination of these releases. Specifically, BMC has addressed the installation process, complications that can occur with customization and eliminated its requirement for Crystal Reports. Knowledge management and personalization have been changed as well. This brief discusses the changes seen in both release 7.6 and 7.6.04.
