BMC Acquires Coradiant to Establish Leadership in the User Experience Management Market

On April 28, 2011, BMC Software announced that it formalized its acquisition of Coradiant, Inc. for an undisclosed sum. Coradiant will support BMC’s broader capabilities for Proactive Application Performance Management (APM) as part of its Proactive Operations initiative, as well as its Cloud Computing initiative. Coradiant will be sold as an integral part of BMC’s End User Experience Management solution.
First established in 2000, Coradiant has an existing customer base of more than 400; primarily in North America and Europe. It has also recently extended its reach via creative partnerships with more data-centric monitoring capabilities such as AppDynamics and Dynatrace, or cloud service providers such as Akamai. Coradiant has long been a leader in pervasive, end-user experience monitoring and diagnostics. It is also an appliance (hardware and now software) which provides fast time to value.
