Abstract
LONDON (Standard & Poor's) Oct. 31, 2006?Standard & Poor's Ratings Services said today that it raised its credit rating to 'AA-pNRi' from 'A+pNRi' on the ?105 million protected and pass through notes EPICS I issued by Euro EPICS I PLC. The rating action reflects a change in the long-term foreign currency rating on The Goldman Sachs Group Inc., which was raised to AA-/Stable/A-1+ from A+/Positive/A-1 on Oct. 27, 2006. The upgrade is due to long-term improvements in Goldman Sachs' capital adequacy, risk management, and liquidity. The Goldman Sachs Group acts as a supporting rating on the Euro EPICS I notes.
