Abstract
NY -- Standard & Poor's CreditWire 10/30/95 -- Standard & Poor's revises its long-term outlook of Goldman Sachs Group L.P. to stable from negative and affirms its single-`A'-plus long-term, single-`A'-minus preferred stock, and `A-1'-plus commercial paper ratings of Goldman. The firm's performance improved substantially in the past three quarters aided by higher trading volumes in the fixed-income markets as well as continued strong equity underwriting and mergers and acquisitions activity. Without a significant impact on the firm's franchise, Goldman Sachs successfully completed personnel and other expense reductions and maneuvered through a period of increased partner retirements, Standard & Poor's said. -- CreditWire...
