Standard & Poor's Ratings Services assigned its 'AA+' long-term rating to Jackson County School District No. 35 (Rogue River), Ore.'s series 2011 general obligation (GO) refunding bonds. The outlook is stable. The rating on the district's bonds reflects our view of the school district's eligibility for, and expected participation in, the Oregon State Guarantee Program. The state has issued a letter of confirmation stating a preliminary commitment to pledge the full faith, credit, and taxing power of the state of Oregon to guarantee payment of the debt service of the bonds, contingent upon the state treasurer's receipt of a copy of the bond resolution, bond counsel opinion, and a final official statement.
