Abstract On March 21, 2003, Standard & Poor's Ratings Services raised its long-term issuer credit ratings on the City of Buenos Aires, Republic of Argentina, to 'CCC+' from 'SD'. At the same time, Standard & Poor's also raised its ratings on four City of Buenos Aires foreign-currency-denominated notes to 'CCC+' from 'D'. In addition, Standard & Poor's raised the national scale rating on the City of Buenos Aires to 'raBB+' from 'raSD' and affirmed its 'CCC+' ratings on the city's Argentine peso-denominated note issue (for which debt service was never interrupted) and medium term note program.
