Abstract
Standard & Poor's Ratings Services assigned its 'AA-' enhanced program rating and school issuer credit rating (ICR), and stable outlook, to Monroe Township Board of Education (Middlesex County), N.J.'s series 2011 school district general obligation (GO) refunding bonds. The enhanced program rating reflects the security provided by the New Jersey Fund for the Support of Free Public Schools. The ICR reflects our view of the district's: Primarily residential community with good access to New York City's and Philadelphia's employment bases; Sizable property tax base with, what we consider, very strong wealth and income indicators; and Moderate debt burden with limited additional capital needs.
