Abstract
OVERVIEW Educational Funding Of The South Inc.'s 2011-1 series note issuance is a securitization of student loans that are at least 97% reinsured by the U.S. federal government. We assigned our preliminary ratings to the class A notes. The preliminary ratings reflect our view of the class A initial parity, the U.S. government's reinsurance, and our stress scenarios, among other factors. NEW YORK (Standard & Poor's) March 31, 2011--Standard & Poor's Ratings Services today assigned its preliminary ratings to Educational Funding Of The South Inc.'s student loan asset-backed notes 2011-1 series (see list).
