The credit characteristics of the program are supported by the strength and availability of state aid to the intercept program participants. Standard & Poor's also affirmed its 'A' underlying rating (SPUR) on the district's outstanding 2001 bonds, which is based on the Indiana State Aid Intercept Program. At the same time, Standard & Poor's affirmed its 'A' SPUR on the district's outstanding series 1997 bonds.
