Soaring U.S. Health Care Costs Have Been Climbing More Slowly Jan 11

Abstract One thing may have been lost in the political debates and legal challenges related to the 2010 landmark health care law, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA). It's the fact that the growth in health care costs in the U.S. has been slowing significantly during the past six months. The Standard & Poor's Economic Health Care Indices, which began tracking health care costs across a spectrum of health care sectors in October 2010, reveal that the year-over-year increase in overall health care costs has been slowing every month since May 2010.
