Alabama Public School & College Authority's Special Obligation Bonds Rated AA; Outlook Stable

Abstract NEW YORK (Standard & Poor's CreditWire) Aug. 30, 1999--Standard & Poor's today assigned its double-'A' rating to Alabama Public School and College Authority's $20 million tax-exempt special obligation bonds series 1999A dated Sept. 1, 1999, due Sept. 30, 2029, and $69 million taxable special obligation bonds series 1999B dated Sept. 1, 1999, due Sept. 30, 2029. The bonds are scheduled to sell between Sept. 7 and Sept. 14. Additionally, Standard & Poor's today affirmed its double-'A' rating on the authority's $540.89 million capital improvement bonds and its double-'A' Standard & Poor's underlying rating (SPUR) on the authority's $182.31 million capital improvement bonds series 1998.
