Abstract
Credit quality has generally improved across U.S. leisure sectors in 2010. Revenue per available room (RevPAR) in the lodging industry increased by about 6% last year, and Standard & Poor's Ratings Services expects mid-single-digit RevPAR growth in 2011. The cruise industry is poised for a good wave season this year as the sector continues to absorb some recent high-profile large ship deliveries. Gradual increases in consumer spending helped drive positive year-over-year trends in the first nine months of 2010 for two of the rated fitness club operators. New attractions and increased visitation from season pass guests helped drive year-over-year improvement for three of the four rated theme park operators.
