Abstract
On March 1, 2004, Standard & Poor's Ratings Services withdrew its 'A+/A-1' counterparty credit ratings on Nordea Bank Sweden AB and assigned them to Nordea Bank AB, following completion of the merger between the two entities. The outlook is stable. Standard & Poor's expected such legal restructuring, and already factored into its ratings the fact that the Nordea group was managed as one institution. Completion of the legal merger means that from March 1, 2004, all assets, rights, and obligations of Nordea Bank Sweden AB have been transferred to Nordea Bank AB, the acquiring company in the merger.
