Standard & Poor's Ratings Services has assigned its 'AAA' rating to Olmsted County, Minn.'s 2009A GO capital improvement bonds and 2009B GO revenue solid waste bonds. The rating reflects our view of the county's: Strong service-based economy anchored by the Mayo Clinic, Strong financial performance and position, and Low overall debt burden, as measured as a percentage of market value. The 'SP-1+' short-term rating on the county's 2009C GO capital loan notes is based on the general creditworthiness of the county, as demonstrated by the 'AAA' GO credit rating on the county.
