Ares VIII CLO Ltd. Ratings Raised On Nine Classes; Two Ratings Affirmed May 11

Abstract
OVERVIEW We raised our ratings on nine classes of notes from Ares VIII CLO Ltd. and removed six of them from CreditWatch positive. We affirmed our ratings on two classes of notes from the same transaction. The upgrades mainly reflect an improvement in the credit quality available to support the notes since our last rating action in March 2010, when we downgraded the notes following the initial application of our updated corporate CDO criteria.
