The last twelve months have been trying in the digital health field in Canada. The eHealth Ontario fiasco and the recession had a major impact on the progression of the eHealth agenda within a number of the provinces and territories in Canada. Despite these bumps, provincial and territorial governments are moving forward to implement and reap the benefits of ICT in the healthcare sector. This year end summary focuses on the key challenges and successes of the last twelve months in the digital health field in Canada.
