NEW YORK (Standard & Poor's) May 25, 2011--Standard & Poor's Ratings Services has raised its rating to 'AAA/A-1' from 'AA+/A-1' on Maryland Health & Higher Education Facilities Authority's $60.00 million series 2009B hospital revenue bonds, issued for Anne Arundel Health System (AAHS), due to a substitution of enhancement effective May 26, 2011, to a letter of credit provided by Bank of America N.A. Standard & Poor's also assigned its 'A-' underlying rating (SPUR) to the issue. The 'AAA/A-1' is based on the application of Standard & Poor's low correlation joint criteria whereby AAHS is rated 'A-' and the LOC provider, Bank of America, is rated 'A+/A-1'.
