Abstract
Standard & Poor's Ratings Services has affirmed its 'A' long-term rating on $536 million series 2003A, 2005A, 2009, 2009A, and 2009C bonds issued by various authorities for Adventist Health System/West (Adventist Health), Calif. At the same time, we affirmed our 'A' underlying rating (SPUR) on $145 million series 2007A, 2007B, and 2009B bonds also issued for Adventist Health. We also affirmed our 'AAA/A-1+' rating on the $30 million series 2009B bonds issued for Adventist Health whereby the long-term component of the rating is based on the application of joint criteria reflecting the ratings on U.S. Bank and Adventist Health System/West. We based the short-term component of the rating solely on U.S. Bank's letter of credit (LOC), which expires in 2012....
