US Commercial Printing Shipments data from 1992 to Q1-2011 as supplied in the annual revision made by the Department of Commerce. Those original data are then presented in executive and analyst format, in monthly, quarterly, and annual formats, as well as 12-month and 4-quarter moving totals. Inflation-adjusted adjusted data are presented by the Consumer Price Index, the Producer Price Index, the PPI for printing prices, as well as the Personal Consumption Expenditures price index, which is the same index used in the calculation of real Gross Domestic Product.

The audio commentary by Dr. Webb, Director of the Center, explains the historical trends as well as the finer points of inflation adjustment, why it is important, its pitfalls, and includes a forecast of the industry.
