Abstract PARIS (Standard & Poor's CreditWire) Oct. 15, 1999--Standard & Poor's today placed its single-'A'-minus long-term ratings on Aerospatiale Matra on CreditWatch with developing implications and its 'A-2' short-term ratings on the company on CreditWatch with positive implications. Simultaneously, Standard & Poor's affirmed its long-term and short-term ratings on DaimlerChrysler AG (DaimlerChrysler) and related entities; the outlook is stable. The rating actions follow the announcement on Oct. 14, 1999, that Aerospatiale Matra and DaimlerChrysler Aerospace (DASA), 100% owned by DaimlerChrysler, will combine all their activities (except MTU, DASA's engine business), thereby creating Europe's largest aerospace company.
