Abstract
Standard & Poor's Ratings Services raised its rating on Iowa Board of Regents' outstanding parking revenue bonds, issued for the State University of Iowa (SUI), to 'A+' from 'A' due to strong coverage and demand. In addition, Standard & Poor's assigned its 'AA/Stable' rating to the board's $25.0 million academic building revenue (ABR) bonds, series 2008, issued for SUI, and the $16.05 million University of Iowa Facilities Corporation revenue refunding bonds, series 2008, for SUI's Medical Education and Biomedical Research Facility Project. Various other ratings for SUI were also affirmed. The rating outlook for all SUI debt pledges is stable. Both of the series 2008 bonds are expected to sell by competitive bid on May 1, 2008.
