Abstract
On April 15, 2010, Standard & Poor's Ratings Services affirmed its ratings on chemicals giant DuPont (E.I.) De Nemours & Co. (A/Stable/A-1) and revised the outlook to stable from negative. The move reflects our increasing confidence that a strengthening global economy makes a downgrade less likely. Although DuPont's credit measures remain somewhat weak for the ratings, they should strengthen during the next one to two years because of higher earnings and cash flow and a likely gradual reduction in net debt.
