Ohio's economy continued to perform well in 1999. Unemployment remains low at 4% in November 1999 and overall job growth, led by the services and trade sectors, tracks the national average. Manufacturing employment is down from a year earlier, but wage and income levels are higher because of increased levels of overtime in a number of industries.
