Abstract NEW YORK (Standard & Poor's) April 11, 2011-Standard & Poor's Ratings Services said today that Endo Pharmaceuticals Holdings Inc.'s announcement that is acquiring Minnetonka, Minn.-based American Medical Systems Inc. (AMS; BB+/Stable/--) does not affect the rating on AMS. Earlier today, Endo announced that it will acquire AMS for approximately $2.9 billion, including the assumption and repayment of $312 million of AMS debt. At the close of the transaction, we will withdraw our corporate credit and issue-level ratings on AMS, including the revolving credit facility ('BBB' with a recovery rating of '1') and senior convertible subordinated notes ('BB-', with a recovery rating of '6') issued at parent American Medical Systems Holdings Inc....
