The rating reflects the district's: Sizable, diverse property tax base; Desirable location in the greater Dallas-Fort Worth MSA; Stable enrollment history; and Solid financial performance. The district's slightly above-average debt profile offsets, in part, these strengths. The district's full faith and credit pledge and an unlimited debt service tax rate pledge secure the bonds. The 130-square-mile Lewisville Independent School District serves portions of 12 different municipalities in the northern Dallas-Fort Worth MSA; and it has experienced steady property tax base, population, and student enrollment growth over the past 10 years.
