Abstract
Standard & Poor's Ratings Services raised its school district issuer credit rating (ICR) to 'A+' from 'A' on Spokane and Stevens Counties School District No. 325-179 (Nine Mile Falls), Wash.'s general obligation (GO) bonds. Standard & Poor's also affirmed its 'AA+' long-term rating and underlying rating (SPUR) on the district's GO bonds. The outlook on all ratings is stable. The rating action reflects our view of the district's: Maintenance of good-to-strong available reserves during the current cycle of state funding cutbacks for K-12 education; and Continuing operating revenue support through voter renewals of the district's maintenance and operations levy, a form of property tax override.
