Abstract AmerenEnergy Generating Co. (AEGC) is the wholly owned, unregulated generation subsidiary of Ameren Corp., which is also the parent of regulated utility companies Union Electric Co. (UE, doing business as AmerenUE) and Central Illinois Public Service Co. (CIPS, doing business as AmerenCIPS), as well as other unregulated units. The ratings on AEGC reflect a below-average business risk profile, a stable financial condition, and management's commitment to maintaining capital structure balance.
